LUNAR ECLIPSE November 9th 2003
After typical foggy November weather during the day, at late afternoon the weather cleared the sky completely and this conditions did not change during the whole night. Therefore perfect conditions were given for an excellent Lunar Eclipse. So, i moved my ETX125 out in the garden at my home in Ebreichsdorf Austria. Please find below a selection of Lunar images made during this 6 hours event. All images have been captured with a Meade ETX125EC Maksutov 5 inch Reflector and Olympus 2020Z Digital Camera connected via 40mm Scopetronix Eyepiece to the scope.

Highlight - not only was the moon eclipsed by the earth shadow -, during totality you could alstipstest_mofi.htmlo see an eclipse of the Star HIP13509 (Mag7.7). See here the images 2 minutes and a few seconds before the star was eclipsed by the Moon.
